Good Spirit REDA stretches from Yorkton in the south to the Porcupine Hills in the north; from the Manitoba border in the east to Insinger on the west side. The spirit of cooperation in the area led to the name Good Spirit REDA. Predominantly an agricultural area, this region is renowned for its grain production ranging from wheat to canola. The abundance of canola production has lead to the development of a canola crushing facilty in Yorkton. The availability of tracts of appropriate land, sufficient quantites of feed grains and east central's topography supports cattle ranching with some of the best purebred beef cattle in the province being produced in this area. Manufacturing in the area spans a wide range of products, from grain processing to short-line manufacturing. This area is also known for its potash mining. Investors will find a vibrant business environment here. The Good Spirit Region has numerous wetland areas where waterfowl gather in large numbers. The tourism industry is one of the fastest growing in the area with hunting and fishing drawing tourists from across Canada and the US.
